To be honest I never thought I would see this birthday unless some sort of miracle or treatment option was given to Jack. And here it is… 12! Tween! 12!
12 years Jack!
You have never complained about your disability and/or disease. You deal with pain and suffering daily and never once let it take on your personality. You smile, giggle, belly laugh and smile some more. You love to watch us a lot more now. And equally enjoy your quiet time and time away from us. Your days are different now; a lot less movements, your interests becoming short, you body changing, but your presence remains so full and large.
You handled this move across the states a million times better then I could imagine. I know its hard and your grieving inside the routines, the rituals and people of our past. I am too bud. But you are taking it all on, with grace and patience. More patience and grace then I could even strive for. Your purpose continues to land in the hearts that God intends them too. You are exactly where you should be and exactly who you are meant to be.
Your a fricken amazing kid! There are no words that adequately capture how proud I am to witness your strength, humor, patience, acceptance, bravery, and courage. My 12th year of being schooled by you is the gift you continue to give each and every day.
